To everyone who's scared of playing people online:
It's ok! I've found that most of the people who post on the forums are really fun to play with or against. And sure you might lose the first couple of games, but you'll learn so much that it's a blast and doesn't matter. It's way more intense than playing some stupid AI.
Pickup games with anyonomous dickholes can be another story. But that's why you find people who post and PM them. My usual thought process is, "Hey, that guy can construct sentences! Maybe he's not a complete jerk!" Then I go play a game with him. And since I'm always right, I'm never disappointed!
So don't worry about skill level and come have fun. You'll be glad you did!

Well, I hear if you have too many phobias, they put you in a special room where you'll be safe.
But seriously, PM me sometime towards the weekend and we'll have a few games. I've played in teams against the AI for people who didn't want to 1v1. But what's great about online play is that it makes you hungry to improve your strategy and to get better with all the different races. That's part of the draw. And the unpredictability. You'd be surprised what you can get away with against a human player.
