Game... Wippien... ASAP

*sigh* Anyone able to install Wippien on Vista? I get the "Wippien network adapter not available. Proceed with IM only?" dialog.

I've found this link, but it's steps didn't work for me: Forum - Open source p2p VPN software - Wippien.

Other input?

Have you followed the instructions in Dominus' guide? They worked for me in Vista...afaik lol, haven't actually played a game yet

I have Wippien downloaded, I followed all the video, now how do I play online.

Help desperatly needed.

I can install Wippien just fine on Vista, if you want some step by step contact me through the PM, here, or through my windows live messenger account

As Blazing_Gig said, the instructions in the guide (available from the downloads section) should be detailed enough to work for you (I hope).

It seems to have downloaded fine, but its not clear to me how to use is as a internet game tool. I have never used Hamachi, or any thing like this before.

Well, all you have to do is go onto Local Area Network (TCP/IP) and then you'll see/can start up games

More detailed information about how to do things can be seen in the downloadable guide--it'll explain things far better than I can here (it has pictures! ).

I haven't as I can't even get that far.

I'm unable to get the Wippien Network Adapter to install...

... going through the Add Hardware Wizard I get:

"The following hardware was not installed:
    Wippien Network Adapter 2.4

An error occurred during the installation of the device.

The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process"

I can't tell which file is being used by another process...

Doing a "DrvInst.exe iwip OemWin2k.inf " on the command line does nothing (that I can tell).

I've tried watching hdwwiz.exe (Add Hardware Wizard process name) from Process Explorer and I can't tell what (if any) files it has open.

Is there a log file for the Wippien Network Adapter installation?

It's Sunday, September 27th, 20:25. There are SEVEN people on Wippien.

Only me in the Fleetops channel, and NO ONE hosting a game. I checked all IPs and didn't see a single game in progress.

Really, people, you NEED to be contactable to play, not just be there. Join the Fleetops channel, and minimize it if you don't want to waste time looking at it. When someone joins or speaks, the window will flash.

Actually, catty and I tried to play a game, but my wifi chose today to behave erratically. I got variable bandwidth ranging from 250kbps to 11mbps. So I had to close wippien, much to my annoyance.

Yeah lately I've been really busy with classes (I'm working on two degrees)...but I've been trying to get back into FLOPS! Aw wish someone'd get on.
