We've had an bug in the forum software. If you got thread subscriptions/private message notifications in the forums - all those messages were 'stuck' in the server. Now essentially the floodgate opened and all those notifications were sent out.
I fixed the bug today and wasn't aware of this.

so that's where those emails went. last year i wasn't getting those sorta notifications for a while, now they've arrived better late than never i guess, even germans occasionally run late.

My whole notifications section on the home page is gone, can't even know if I have any messages none less new messages. So I don't even know if I've received any Inbox Messages (got spammed) from you or anyone because I go by the notifications in the small box on the homepage.

Even my Avatar picture isn't showing up, tried resetting it and even logging out and logging back in, nothing worked. My avatar does show up by my old posts and my new posts, just not in my notifications box in the homepage.

Also getting logout now when that's never happened to me before.

Hopefully these problems will be fixed soon.

yes, this is a minor bug that remains. it is not an issue with your account.
you can also reach your inbox from the menu: account->personal messages

Ok, thank you DOCa Cola, didn't know that. I've used my notification box and link in postings to get to My Account. Thank you for the tip.

Thanks for that. I think I've had something like 100 notifications from you over the last day or so, and I was wondering what was happening.
