jpeg attachments

files with jpg extension can be uploaded, but files with jpeg extension can't. is this intentional?

Four char extensions are not really conform.
Maybe the devs just forgot it to include it into the whitelist.

Got an additional question: why are the file types limited?
"Security" reasons, or that the amount of file transfer doesn't get out of hand, something completely different?

if anyone's still stuck on 8.3 filenames then they really need to upgrade. file extensions can be as crazy long as needed these days.

the limit is probably to prevent a free for all and to save on headaches. eg doc files have a habit of being annoyingly large when uncompressed, and most common archives are supported (7z/rar/zip). so it keeps downloads speedy.

i guess it also stops easy double extension tricks like filename.txt.vbs
