I have the options in my control panel set to notify me when i get new messages and to use a popup to tell me, but neither of these ever happen, so i'm going days without knowing somebody has sent me a message.

yes, i noticed this as well :P i began working on a fix last weekend but haven't had the time to complete it yet.
