Concerns about Commentating

To the Fleetops Community.

Id just like to say, if anyone has any problem with the way I commentate or any questions, concerns or ideas, etc.  Then you can message me about it.  Please do not pretend that you like my commentary's if you have an issue, that doesn't help me and only hurts my replays.  Tell me about it, so i can work to fix it, i cant fix anything if i don't know about it.

There was a replay a while back by clintsat which featured arash vs boggz. Towards the end when arash had clearly won he invited both of them to the chat to talk about how the game etc. It's not a criticism of yours but i think it was a nice addition to get the player's opinions on certain events and how the game went.

Why do you constantly drag a selection box over fleets when it does nothing? You seem incapable of not trying to select things you cannot.

Kinda along with evilelite2000's comments:   I think it would be cool to have the players come back after the fact, and comment along with you like a Post-Game Highlight reel -with video clips.  Not sure if that is possible though.

Just a thought....   ^-^

Or maybe an annotation link to a separate video rather than in the main video.

While I enjoy all the replays by our community, I tend to enjoy yours the most. You bring a lot of color and personality to commentating. Don't change your style, I do like the idea of a post game highlight reel with the players reactions / thoughts.

Thanks guys, your feedback is what helps me determine what needs to be changed or what im doing well.  Its very helpful for me to have this.

About the highlight reel.  This is an idea I actually have been considering for some time, and have been figuring out how to implement.  Since there seems to be alot of support for this, i will try to do this in one of my next replays.

Do what you have to do, and don't spend too much time worrying about what other people think.  Criticism is good, but it's only a secondary thing.  For every 1 person who actually does anything, there are 200 ready to complain about the work that one person does, yet they would never do it themselves. ^-^

And I like your commentaries and your style. :thumbsup:

I have no issues, I really like your vids along with people like Clintsat and Mal. Now if only I could play with you guys and get some helpful tips.  :D

i think the best thing to improve your fleetops replays would be to make it kinda like a sports game and with the whole studio thing going on. make ur commentary's like the commentaries of a rugby game where in the beginning u sit in a studio and chat chat a bit, then cut to the game and give commentary, the after the game cut back to studio give a round up of the game and chat bout it, maybe with some guest players then with the actually players that where in the game. Make it look really professional.  :thumbsup:

I think your style of commentary is very fun, Ray :).  You get very excited - which gets me excited :D.

  I think your intro is just fine.  It's just flavor and each commentator seems to have their own little thing now.  I dig it :thumbsup:.

  Lots of commentator channels for other games have their own little designs or intros - one of my favorite being Crota on YouTube who does Starcraft 2 replays.
