New to Fleet Ops but not to A2 Modding

Hello, My username is thunderfoot006. I am new to the FO forums and I am also new to FO. Been modding A2 since 2006. You may have heard of a "simple ODF mod" I did, the A2 Physics Project, lol. Met a few of the people from here over at MSFC and thought since you left the door wide open without posting a guard I'd wander in for a bit.

A little bit about me:

- I live in Biloxi, Mississippi
- I am 49 years old
- I have achieved a rating of "Grand Master" in Redneck.
- I like all types of science fiction but prefer Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica. But if the story is interesting enough, I will be right there in a sec.

- Ready for a shocker? I have never played one single game of FO!
  Gasp! The Horror of it all! I'll give you a second or two to recover from your shock at this.
Never had a 'puter powerful enough yet to play it with all the goodies turned all the way on until very recently.

Been wandering about in the boards a bit and I see a great many old friends here. I also see some people who seem very nice and whom I'd like to begin new friendships with. I have been running about in Dom's support site for FO doing research and such and gone to a few of the replays and a few other places which have FO related stuff. Been tempted to try FO out, but haven't yet.

I have also been reading with much amusement various posts placed here by people who meet the criteria for Trolls. Is this place always like this? Fun! Fun! Fun! Nothing I like better than a big slab of Nuked Troll for dinner, hoisted upon his own petard. Mmmmmm....Trolls. Goes really well with okra. Can someone get them to move around a bit, please? I like moving targets. More of a challenge.

ATTENTION: Moderators!  I am NOT here to be a troublemaker, nor do I like to cause anyone pain or suffering.  Some of the folks from MSFC registered here as well will vouch for the fact I tend to speak my mind without regard for what others may think of me or consequences to myself and I always try to as eloquent as I can be. The written word is a precision instrument and should be used as such. I also try really hard to 'Think first, THEN Post', lol When I get out of line, a simple, "Bad Dawg! Y'All sit!" is usually more than enough to get my undivided attention.

I'm just a guy who likes games based on Star Trek as much as Y'All do and I would like to hang out with Y'All, provided Y'All let me.

Hey Thunderfoot Glad to see you over here and happy you dragged your sense of humor here too!

Moderating is generally bit more lax here than in most of the A2 forums, though that means that a thick skin can occasionally be necessary too

Hope to see you posting, and perhaps even releasing mods and playing around here

Thanks Guys! Much appreciated! You two are the primary reasons I cam over here in the first place. Z has been talking up FO only forever and is always respectful and helpful whenever I had the odd question about something he previewed over at MSFC. You, Dom, meet all the criteria for 'Guru'. Just like I sadi over at MSFC, lol Knowledgeable and informative about your area of expertise and no nonsense either. I've enjoyed reading and sharing what you both posted over at MSFC and look forward to doing so here as well.

We're always happy to see a new member. Hope that you give online a shot; most everyone is on teamspeak, so it's not very hard to coordinate games.

Welcome, and to answer your question, yes, it's always like this around here . Honestly, the moderation here is about as lax as I have ever seen on a forum and there aren't too many prudes or dicks. That said, there are a handful of trolls *erm* members who can be, well, distasteful. Just ignore them.
