[Captains Log - T.S.S. Mountshining - Stardate 2404/311]
Due to the resent activity along the Cardassian border, the Mountshining has been sent to patrol the border in the areas where the Cardassian border is adjacent to the Tereanan border. We have received reports that the Cardassians have chroniton-based weaponry, but I find that unlikely considering they don't even have a good fleet. We ran across a cube a few years ago that was under Cardassian control, but it has since been destroyed. Without the support of the Tereanan Empire and the United Federation of Planets, there would be no Cardassian Union.

[Captain walks onto the bridge]
Captain: Report.
First Officer: We have a few Federation ships headed our way. It looks like they just escaped a tough battle.
Captain: They'll probably need repairs. Prepare medical and repair supplies for each of those ships and...
Tactical: Captain, we're being hailed. It's coming from the Enterprise.
Captain: On-screen.

Mountshining: Hello captain.
Enterprise: Why have the Tereanans been supplying weapons to the Cardassian Union?
Mountshining: The Tereanan Empire wouldn't supply weapons to the Cardassians. That'd be stupid.
Enterprise: Then how do you explain the fact that the weapons used by the group of Cardassian ships that attacked us were Tereanan? They had temporal disruptors and chroniton torpedoes.
Mountshining - Tactical: Sir, they're telling the truth. The weapon signatures on their hulls are Tereanan.
Mountshining: Tereanan law forbids chroniton-based weaponry from being given to anyone, including allies. The Tereanan Empire would not authorize the distribution of those weapons. Either the Cardassians managed to steal the schematics to those weapons, or there is a traitor in our mists. We'll send a report to Tereanan command of what has happened. Hopefully, we'll get an answer.
Enterprise: The Federation will be wanting an answer, and in the meantime, we'll be conducting our own investigation on what's going on here.
Mountshining: I'm sure you will. I'd expect nothing less from the galactic police. End transmission.

Captain: Are those medical and repair supplies ready yet.
Operations: Affirmative.
Captain: Good. We'll send them over if they have no objections. But first, contact Tereanan Command. See if any ships have gone missing recently. Like, in the past month or so. Then notify the Enterprise that we're willing to send over medical and repair supplies. I'll be in my ready room.
Operation: Eye, sir.
