Basic Map:
UFP owns about from Earth to almost the closet edge of the galaxy.
Klingons own their current space plus 50% more to the closest edge of the galaxy
Romulans own what they own already uptothe closest they can to the centre and the frontier of Borg space.
Borg owns most of the Delta quadrant, half of Beta and a quarter of Gamma
Dominion owns 50% of the Gamma quadrant
Ferengi enters UFP
Breen gain 100% more territory more towards the Gamma quadrant
Cardassians are submitted to the dominion once more

Storyline/Prelude to war :
80 years after the return of voyager from the delta quadrant, the Federation enters a new era of its existence. The old ways are gone, the Dominion enters new tensions with the UFP. However the Klingons want to enter the united federation of planets. And the Romulans are starting to expand in Borg territory.
( with several re-shapes of the Federation, they discarded USS for UFP) It is the time of UFP Enterprise G, it is the newest design of ship the Federation has come to. It guards several systems against unfriendly eyes and is a ship of pure exploration, it isn’t like one of its predecessor USS ENERPRISE D which fulfills trade assignments, but purely acts as a ship which has little contact with the federation at all. At least until its captain “captain Joscovich Kurne” (half Bajoran, half Human Russian) is ordered to come back after 3 years of exploration to answer to threats by the Romulans.
Unknown to the Federation, the Romulans allied themselves with an inter dimensional being named the Lyssarians who come from a time and alternate universe which they controlled most of, but were at war with another race. They give the romulans new and advanced tech. especially in the weapon and armour division, the Romulans still limping from the supernova 50 years ago accept gladly this alliance.  They start hostilities with the borg, who conquer everything up-to the border zeta voldanis. Then the Lyssarians come in with their own ships disguising them as new Romulan ship classes. They defeat the Borg and conquer upto the old Unimatrix 001. There, The Borg assemble their thousands of ships to counter the Romulans. And, Against the total authority of the Romulan senate, The Lyssarians launch a type of “dark matter that destroyed all of the Borg. But unfortunately for the time travelers, this drained so much energy that most of their bases went dark and their portal was closed forever. They could never use that weapon again. But the Borg were left with barely a few hundred ships to protect an empire the size of half the galaxy. Over 10 trillion died at the “massacre” of Unimatrix 001. The other Nations gave  Alpha circini (new Romulan capital) an Ultimatum that they ignored. War was inevitable.
The Dominion was very very strong at the time. The territory they controlled was vast. The Founders, however, lessened their grip on the population thanks to Oddo. The Vorta were no longer the “official” rulers of the dominion, other nations communicated with the founders directly. And they were no longer regarded as “Gods” or myths by the population of the dominion. No one could leave without permission from the Vorta (which became genetically enhanced so that they could enjoy art or taste food). The Jem’haddar were still a warrior race but they now had free will and could live several dozen years and also no longer had the “caste system” in their minds. They also were in no need of Ketracel white. The Dominion had Growing tensions with the UFP despite Oddo’s best efforts. However when the Romulans waged war with the Borg, they were quick to watch he Romulans with a close eye. But their attention quickly drew away as a new player entered the scenes; The Nut’regan the long lost relatives of the founders. The Founders cast them out for fear that they would challenge their reign. They have a 98% similarity in their genome, they, also shape shifters and advanced in genetics but prefer a more equalized society for all races waged a war of revenge against the founders. Oddo and a few more managed to escape before the destruction of their home-world. The Nut’regan soon began ushering a reign over the founder’s space. No one were to discriminate between races. You could leave and come as you wish, the Vorta and Jem’haddar could now reproduce. The federation’s view on a socialist government made the relations between them and the “new Dominion” very strong and when the Federation declared war upon the Romulans they quickly followed.

The Klingons were a very powerful empire but the reign of chancellor Martok made the UFP and the Klingons draw closer than ever before. They formed a tight alliance and they finally wanted to enter the UFP, not in the administrative sense; in science, technology, trade, resources, maps etc. the UFP eagerly accepted, it being the most powerful member yet. When the UFP sent a warning to the Romulans, the Klingons sent one of their Ambassadors and threatened that there would be no Romulan survivors after this war, that they would all die the most honor less death possible. That this would be war that would consume the entire galaxy, no confederacy, Empire, or Democracy would escape it. They proved vital in the war.
The United Federation of Planets, was the most powerful Alpha quadrant force at the time before the Lyssarians came. They live under equality and built some of the most grand space-born structures at the time, such as the great arch of tychonus a space station deigned to hold over 1 million people. 3000 ships and is one of the marvels of deep space. Another orbits sol a giant docking station meant to harbor thousands of ships. Other more  subtle station include the trophy of the Kings the most beautiful structure in the galaxy and many more. The UFP is a paradise of freedom, but the quality of that is degrading since Section 31 gained more and more power in the Federation. The military strength of the UFP is probably the greatest after the Borg (and Lyssarians of course). Once the Romulans attacked the borg, the surprise brought controversy in the UFP. Section 31 investigated the matter carefully, and they found out about the Lyssarians. But they thought it best not to show the details to the Federation immediately because they would be bound to try to make peace, but the isn’t at all what the Lyssarians wanted.  So they waited until the war.
Storyline/War and the end of it:
YEAR 1/7
Once the war started 3 years after the launching of the enterprise G; All the nations chose a side. The UFP Enterprise was called off to lead its own task force into the front line, they still explore but on a very limited scale. This is also the same year the UFP’s new more military-oriented government finished the construction of the new ship class. The Avenger, being 2000meters long, and carrying over 6000 people/ troops, its shields are strong enough to survive a supernova. The Klingons also gave a cloaking technology that the enterprise and its task-force was fitted with.
The Romulan senate are now counteracting the orders of the Lyssarians which creates chaos. They send their ships to the Klingons and Federation worlds as an offensive. The Dominion start mobilizing their troops to attack the Romulans from the centre of the galaxy.
The Romulan-Lyssarian alliance managed to gain many territories, the Borg licking their wounds don’t engage this year.
Year2/7
Section 31 tells what they have learnt several years ago, and the Federation and Klingon councils are united to know what would be their next move as the Alliance (the war is named in the history books as Alliance vs Federation). The alliance was hoping to get a quick defeat and they hopped correctly because the Dominion was moving their ships towards Earth in attempt to defend it. However, for the first time, the Lyssarians showed their own ships and quickly defeated the dominion’s 600 ships.
The Klingons, who had assembled with the federation ships at Alpha centauri with the Enterprise as acting vice-admiral ship. The Romulans attacked with all their strength, but they couldn’t hold against the Federation-Klingon blockade. The Lyssarian demanded what happened, and after finding out of such an inglorious defeat, they were quick to disband the council.
After this the prime directive was abandoned for the duration of the war, Replaced by the temporal prime directive.
Year 3/7
The dominion sent more ships and the Federation managed to hold a barrier trough these Places: DS4, Epsilon guris, ela indi,P1 Piscis australis, Bolarus,51 virginis, Eridani, Starbase 343,Pheben, Klatch d’khel Brakt. The Lyssarians broke through on several occasions, the Enterprise returned to part-time exploring, searching for new ways to defeat the Alliance. The Borg finally entered the war on the side of the federation.  The Lyssarians managed to break through the Klingons front and invade until the battle of Qu’vat. Where they were stopped. Towards the end of the year, The Bren and ferengi joined the Federation, and the tholians and another species towards the edge of the beta quadrant joined the alliance.
Just before the end of the year, another gate appeared in federation and other ships came through, they were called the Cidonians. Clamming that they were in a war that ravaged their universe where they were the leading nation. They came here to defeat the forces that took refuge here, their enemies were the Lyssarians; tyrannical, and freedom restraining, they would have cause chaos. While the Cidonians were like the UFP, Liberty being the most important, democracy and social systems made their worlds among the happiest in their universe.

Year 4/7
Following the Cidonian arrival, The UFP government began to revert to a system used earlier at about the end of the 24th century. The new government wouldn’t accept much from the new aliens. But they made several changes including; the reversion of ship registries from UFP back to USS, restraining Section 31 (though this just made them go back to hiding), and other alliance decisions eg: getting Viddian tech from the Borg. And many other changes.
The USS ENTERPRISE NCC-1701 G goes to Borg space to sign treaties and for exploration in the Delta quadrant. They uncover a hidden device with the same technology as the gates used by the Cidonians and the Lyssarians. Accusing the Borg of once more activating something that was out of their league, they asked to know one reason why to not end the alliance. The Borg replied by saying that that artifact destroyed one of their cubes and activated itself. The Enterprise said that they had to launch an attack behind the Lyssarians ASAP. The Borg agree
The Lyssarian ranks are thinning out they start losing more ships and territory. Being a proud race, they try to rebuild their gate at the expense of the Romulan fleet. The Klingons manage to push them back to their borders before the war.
Year 5/7
The Enterprise with the borg destroy most of their major industries and the enterprise uses the Borg’s transwarp system to go back to the federation lines. And they start fighting in there for a while before exploring again; The Cidonians finally get the permission to move their fleet in but only if it were willing to give the federation some technology. It is like this that the federation learnt how to go into transwarp. And had several weapon upgrades. Th Klingons gained a lot of territory inside Romulan space.
The Lyssarians managed to complete their gate and bring reinforcements. But all the Frontiers return to their origin point. The Cidonians, however, are changing the tide of war towards the Federation’s side.
Year 6,7/7
The Enterprise came back to the front lines and “captain Kurne” became “commodore Kurne” having his full-time taskforce and being able to give strong strategy plans for the war.  The Federation managed to pressure the lyssarians into almost surrendering, but the Romulans tried to defend the Lyssarians despite them conquering the Romulans.  The Romulans would hate being saved by the UFP. The Dominion has been reporting revolts all over, so the Dominion troops had to return, leaving their position undefended.  The remnants of the Lyssarians tried to get to sol but were beaten in Lande 25372 but the distraction was enough to set, the doom of the Aliens, back but not more. The support of the Cidionians was vital and the Federation managed to defeat the Lyssarians. But then it became a race against time because they tried to aim the “black hole” weapon at Earth, but they were stopped and the war ended.
The Cidionan gate stayed open to open commerce and exploration possibilities.

it might be close to accurate. :sweatdrop:  Who knows how many people were on those stations considering the borg have assimilated "countless worlds"

To be safe though, I would say more like 10-100 billion. :whistling:
