Borg Ship Idea

I call it the Borg Frame. Appearance-wise it is a Cube with a large square plane frame (its not cubical), on the corners of the frame are pylons that serve as heavy weapon arrays. This post is a bit rushed, so I don't know what it could be used for (defense cube?), just felt like sharing the idea.

Humm... no too bad idea in my opinion, however this shape sounds similar to the Borg Rectangles from ST:Legacy. I'm afraid there are no appropriate pictures for them on google search but they belong into the destroyers-category of that unbalanced game.

I totally messed up that description. It's a Cube but with a square length of pipe going around it like a scaffolding.

Kinda like the periperial scout cube in FO and a tng cube?

sounds very similar to the command cube, which was in an older version of Fleet Ops and should be returning in the next patch.

Damn, heres an analogie that would describe it better. The cube is the person and the frame is the hullahoop. Its a square length of metal that sits horizontaly. Anywho it could be something else up the tech tree along with the Command Cube, give the Borg something to work at.

A borg defense frame could be very nice. We have up to now only turrets, more or less put in the game with a little dynamics how to use with certain advances and disadvances.

A frontier-line that consists of torpedo launchers and beam-weapons would be very cool for borg-gameplay. Just draw a line (that could easily be bypassed when flying through - it should not block) that can be upgraded with a torp or beam weapon. If connected to a station, it will become stronger.

So you could build a starbase, between the starbase two or three lines of defense-tubes and then the next starbase. The borg have in my opinion a weak defense, because their turrets need so much space --> you cant place a real frontline, just one or two placements and thats it.

Sounds like a good idea, especially since theres the possibility of 'Borg Space' inclusion. This would certainly make it easier for Borg to hold their own in defense, something they are lacking at the moment since they only have four buildable structures.

HOLY CRAP! The moderator hit the nail right on the head. Extend that frame out a bit more and put pylons on the corner and you have my idea.

thought that said moderator at first. Back to topic, any ideas what this ship could be used for? When someone asked if it was like the Peripheral Scube it got me thinking, maybe it could be an upgrade of the Cube.
