I hate when they butcher a movie so bad that pieces like this get cut off. This scene is very important for the movie and for Data character, and its sad they didn't include this one because it butchers the message of the whole movie.
Nemesis is considered a bad trek movie, because people center the attention in Picard and his evil clone, but in fact the movie is about Data and his objective of becoming human, which they imply happen at the end when he sacrifice himself to save Picard and Enterprise's crew which its kind of illogical because Data being the only android with a positronic brain is "more important" than the life of humans and aliens aboard the Enterprise, instead he take an "emotional" decision to save Picard.
Proof of all this? well look at the credits Brent Spiner was involved in the history and I believe was an Executive Producer so he was an important part in the creative process of the movie.
If we want to criticize one of the TNG movies we should put our attention in "Generations" where they send Kirk out of the Trek universe in the most boring way they can come out with!!! But that's just my opinion.
