Hello!

I'm playing this mod (latest version including patch 1 and the multimedia pack) with no major problems at all. Great work :)

Only the resolution worries me: Currently playing at 1024*768*32 with AA/AF, I would like to increase it further. I can choose 1600*1200*32 in the options menue, it shows up ingame at first, improving the quality. With no loss in FPS according to fraps, even with AA/AF enabled. So far so good. But everytime I go to the menue (save the game) and back ingame, or restart the game, the res will be set back to 800*600*16 :/

Vanilla A2 works fine btw.

My system/settings: Windows XP prof (up to date), NV 7900 GTO 512 MB, 2 GB RAM, an old Vobis Monitor with windows standard driver (no drivers available anymore). Maximum Details, 4xAA and 16x AF enabled via forceware (disabling them don't help).

I found several topics regarding the resolution, but none seems to have the answer to this specific problem. Any help will be appreciated :)

welcome to the forums. majed
does fleet operations remember it's setting when you do not enable aa/af?

Thank you for the welcome and the fast reply.

No, it does not help (but I already wrote that ;)). Even if it would, it wouldn't help much, as the quality is comparable to my current 1024*768*32 AA/AF setting.

P.S.: As i'm from germany, my english may sound weird (understanding, reading, listening no problem, but when it comes to express myself ... oO). Hope you can understand what I really mean :)

Welcome to the forums Majed!!

By the way, I wish I could speak German as well as you speak English. You are very much to be commended for your ability! Also, I think many of the Fleetops staff are German. We seem to have a very diverse community here, with people from the US, Germany, Canada and UK here, or at least that's my observation  :whistling: I'm sure the skilled staff will help you to solve your FO problem  B) .

Welcome to the forums Majed!

Don't worry about your English! Maybe you would have noticed for yourself after some time that there are far more Germans around here than one might guess at first. :sweatdrop:
Disturbing but true, I know.  :whistling: Welcome to "English for runaways" - "Englisch für Fortgeschrittene". ;)
As Doc just wrote, we are a very diverse community but we have always managed to understand each other.

I think that your problem will be solved soon! The staff is quite fast at that.

Happy posting!

in v3 PR the limits are the same as in stock armada 2. 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x(960 OR 1024), 1600x1200.
v3 final will support all resolutions supported by your hardware higher than 800x600

currently we have not found a solution yet. one out of the ordinary problem that where it's hard to reproduce what armada is doing. seems to be another glitch in armada's limited resolution selection. so i assume the problem will be gone with v3 final anyway

Thank you all for the kind welcoming  ^-^

Regarding the problem: There may be no solution for now, but as it is more of a luxory-problem rather than gamebreaking, I can easily live with it. The game looks great anyway.
