3.1.3 FO Program Maximise Error

Program aborts? Network configuration? Graphic errors? Bugs? Post your question here.

I have just installed the newest version of FO and have encountered a problem. Whenever I load the game, it appears in a small window and doesn't allow me to maximise it.

Previous versions did not have this issue. I have installed it in a non-default directory on my games drive. I run 64 bit Windows Vista Ultimate and run FO in administrator mode (Run as Administrator option selected).

Any ideas or help in resolving this issue would be appreicated. :)

From the change log:

Changes
Game Shell locked at window mode

If I'm reading you correctly, then the game shell is working as intended.  It should be a window in the middle of your screen.  When you actually launch a game, it will go into full screen mode automatically (unless you have windowed mode selected of course).  If it's behaving differently from that, then yeah, there's a problem. :sweatdrop:

when u start fo its in the middle of the screen, u can actuallly move it wherever you want, once u click tunngle, it locks position too. so place it where u want it then click tunngle.

The reason for this change was some issues for the map editor, plus going online caused the screen to 'freeze' in place while "checking assets". :)

Ah okay thanks everyone, I start a game. I didn't before as I thought there was an issue, however if that's what it's supposed to do then it's all good.

From a multiplayer point of view, it's actually been quite nice, because you can chat in tunngle or do whatever while you wait for everyone to get ready to play. :D

yep, there is no real reason why a games menu should be a full screen app :)

I usually prefer the menu to be at the same size as the game...

yes, me too. but in case of armada it is currently better this way, especially for tunngle users and those affected by the various bugs that the menu fullscreen mode since armada 1 has.
