I believe this concerns the out of sync issue that was fixed in the latest patch. When playing an AI curb stomp with some friends, one of them complained about not getting any assistance when trying to build a forward outpost near the enemy lines. I was naturally confused since I had a full fleet of 30 ships nearby, protecting his constructors. As the game progressed, I found that despite his insistence that he had build torpedo turrets, all that I had seen were undeveloped federation platforms. He constantly destroyed ships with his wave of defensive platforms, while my fleet got continuously attacked because, from my point of view, his turrets did not exist.

Here is an image of his turrets he sent me. Unfortunately my printscreen button malfunctioned and I don't have an image from my end. However, I had a large fleet about where those turrets were, except that that was all there was defending his base from my point of view, just my fleet, and my perimeters. (btw, my north perimeter had been destroyed by the time this shot was taken)

At the time this was taken, that fleet had since been moved up to the front line and summarily destroyed by the enemy forces due to the aforementioned non-existent turrets.

Another image of the expansion, notice the major lack of dominion ships (my race) even though I had a massie fleet here guarding that base (because I didn't know the turrets were there)

Yet you were not getting an out of sync message? A klaxon warning sound should be heard at the same time as an "Out of Sync" message appears on your screen.
Edit: Ah, nevermind. I see an out of sync message there
. Did this message per chance occur right after refitting a Newton repair vessel?

He says he did upgrade a Newton class completely. But doesn't recall when they craziness happened. This was well before he started building that forward base. However, in the previous versions, though we did get the messages, it never impacted our game play all that much.
Here is a chat log discussing the incident:
Also, it seems from his point of view I lost a Defender whose AI chased enemies which I actually saved even prior to the forward base going up. Chances are this did happen following a newton upgrade.
EDIT:
Also, no idea if this has any bearing on this, but the other guy with us, "The Doctor" seemed to be at the same point I was. Tsar-Blitzer Sama was the host as well, don't know if that makes any difference. Doctor and I were on Blitzer's network.
Here is a chat log discussing the incident:
11:56 PM - [λG] Dblitzer: oh, i did upgrade my newton to full capacity, but i can't recall
11:56 PM - Caesar Gorandius: *newton refit
11:56 PM - [λG] Dblitzer: if that's when it started
11:56 PM - [λG] Dblitzer: i mean i upgraded it really early in game, and i don't think we really started to have issues until i started building that forward base
11:56 PM - [λG] Dblitzer: then again, i dunno
11:57 PM - Caesar Gorandius: did my fleet ever follow your constructors to that base when you first started building?
11:58 PM - [λG] Dblitzer: i saw you and krath's fleet randomly duking it out with dominion ships in the middle of the map, that's when i first started to notice something strange
11:58 PM - [λG] Dblitzer: it seemed odd you two would just throw away ships like that
11:58 PM - Caesar Gorandius: okay, that's good
11:58 PM - [λG] Dblitzer: that was when i was building the base btw
11:58 PM - Caesar Gorandius: yeah, I reatreated to your base once the outpost went up
11:59 PM - Caesar Gorandius: did my ships ever arrive?
11:59 PM - [λG] Dblitzer: uh, no, i saw them all get destroyed
11:59 PM - [λG] Dblitzer: so yeah, that's when the issues started lol

12:00 AM - Caesar Gorandius: yeah ... I got about 20 of them out and to your base >.>

EDIT:
12:01 AM - [λG] Dblitzer: so maybe it is connected to the newton class upgrading
12:02 AM - [λG] Dblitzer: i think these issues started to persist once i got it fully upgraded

It went's still oos while beaming on an enemy station. :/
Additional: Was on 2v3 on Andromeda (i removed the wormhols on this map), i (fed) was entering a enemy fed dil station with wapin ships and a few others. A few seconds after the station was mine, the game was oss. The two games we've played afterwards (without restarting the game or tungle) were oss too.

It went out of sync as soon as you beamed on a station? What factions were involved, and how early on in the game was this?

see my additional. It was after 20 min the first time. The second time after an hour. There were only Borg and Fed in the first game. 3x Fed 2x Borg. In the first game were no AI's involved. In the second game there were 4 AI's and 3 Players

Did any of your human players refit a Newton in this game?

Good to see we weren't the only ones with this issue. Should we roll back to 3.2.6 in the meantime?

nop don't think so. i build monsoons, intrepids and akiras then, my enemys also, there were a few defense station in it and the borgs build dodos and spheres.

The only thing included with 327 were fixes, not breaks to other features - rolling back to 326 would just include the original out of syncs
.
It is difficult to know what causes rare out of syncs without lots of information. If you wish, you can generate some out of sync logs to aid us in this task.
To do so, when starting a game, the host must go to the Advanced menu, type "dbg", click "synchost" then hit "ok" in the Advanced menu. When an out of sync occurs, the log will appear in your application data in the Logs folder. %appdata%\star trek armada ii fleet operations\logs
Each human player must provide the logs to a single game - if you do so, please enclose a text file with the races, map, and length of the game.![Smiley :)](/forum/images/smilies/smile.png)

I was the third human player in the particular game that Gorandius is talking about. One thing that I noticed, was that Gorandius and myself seemed to following the same "timeline" if you will. But our friend, Dblitzer, was on his own.

Thats totally new for me. Usually one Player is oos to the others right? This time, not one Player was oos, two players were oos to two other players^^ I was not the host, but next time i'll log it and send it to u ![Wink ;)](/forum/images/smilies/wink.png)
There was one thing, i could monitor. Nearly every game wich run more than 1 1/2 h or maby 2 h, goes oos. Maby it helps^^

Yes, not all players have to desync with each other
.
With these really long games it's quite difficult to test, so if you can get those logs from each human player in the same game, that would be great
Try to keep track of what happens at that moment of OOS
.
