I finally decided to port over Sigma to 3.1.3 for a release, and needless to say tooooons of stuff broke in the transition to the point where half of the races are unplayable. A lot of it I can fix fortunately, but one crash in particular continues to popup. I have attached the crash log, and I believe it has to do with modular stations and the A.I. since ResearchStation.CanBuild ResearchStation.StartBuild came up in the crashlog. Was something done to pushbuilditem between 3.1.2 and 3.1.3 to cause the AI to explode? ![Cry :crybaby:](/forum/images/smilies/crybaby.gif)

hrm, pushbuilditem should have no effect on a research station. it only works with shipyard and buildyard (though the latter hasn't been tested yet a lot with it)

The station in question is a yard that uses the research classlabel to add on smaller yards (much like the Klingon Field Yard). I've used the pushbuildbutton to force the AI to build the addons since the AI refuses to do so through AIP files. In every patch since 3.0.7 it's worked just fine until now I suppose. Is there another workaround to get the AI to build modular stations like the Klingon Field Yard perhaps?

yes, take a look at the buildItemXprovided commands in the kli field yard. in fleet operations the ai gets a fully equipped station when it builds the yard if that is sufficient for you. currently that is the only way for the ai to get station addons

I tried out buildItemXprovided and it works out perfectly. Thanks for the workaround Doca ![ThumbsUp ](/forum/images/smilies/thumbsup.png)
