akira bug(maybe^^)

i just experienced the following: i just got myself some veteran akiras, but their defense patters didn't start; i could click on it, but nohing happened.

someone has the same prob?

I have.
I couldn't replicate it all the time though, I'll try to figure it out more though--last time I thought I was just being dumb. I think there are a few other special weapons that don't "activate" when units are promoted to veteran, but I don't know which ones they are off the top of my head.

i have checked the akiras and they seem to work fine for me also.

some weapons have a cooldown time before you can use them once a unit is built or after a unit is promoted. you will have a visual presentation of the cooldowns in the large interface redo thats included in the next patch

I just joined because I saw this thread and I thought I would mention that I had a similar problem with the klingon cruiser with the blue beam. The energy buffer was active and I couldn't deactivate it once it was a veteran

i just test that... Cho'naQ class and mixed-tech Cho'naQ class couldn't deactivate energy buffer once they are promoted to double gold bar or veteran

also it seems that Secondary Buffer System defensive value bonus does not work
