B2:Crash - Armada2.tgt causes error

Program aborts? Network configuration? Graphic errors? Bugs? Post your question here.

Ok i am having a problem with this file. it keeps causing errors and shutting the game down. i do not have any application running in the background. and sometimes other tgt files shut it down and i get a *tgt is a corrupt file*
i have reinstalled it fresh and it still does it......... is this mod flaw?

ok, for further error analysis, could you please go to Start - Run type dxdiag click OK, then, on the bottom of the program, click Save All Information... save the file and attach it to the forum please
Could you pls also attach a screenshot of the error message when it appears next time or a more description of it. And after your next crash, go to your FODataTemp and attach the Log.txt stored there to the forum too pls

It sounds like sod errors to me and missing wav files.. couldnt be in the download cause ive downloaded it before. and plus i get this same error with the babylon5 mod......... yet armada2 runs fine when not modded...is armada2files.com down?? i can log in or see the page

Common
Fleet Operations
Make sure you are using the latest Fleet Operations patch. Errors like
[ Error:: WeaponClass:: 383@ 39172] Weapon Fire Sound empty.wav missing.
tell me you are using the unpatched 2.0 release.

System
your current display mode points to 800 x 600 (16 bit) (75Hz).
16 bit desktop display mode causes errors with some games so it also could cause these crashes appearing with fleetops. try to change it to 32bit in your display settings

Drivers
Soundcard
There are slightly newer drivers for your c-media cmi8738 available here.

Mainboard
I don't know much about SiS chipsets so it would be helpful if you tell me the mainboard designation to find a suitable driver for you from here.

Graphic Card
I recommend you take a look on this site as they are providing a special modified ati driver for all ati radeon series cards as your all-in-wonder 9700 is.

I had the resolution set higher. only reason i set it lower was because Activision requested it as a possible fix. It happened on 32bit to.. I just updated my graphics driver from ati and my sound card drivers as well. But i was not aware of a specially designed driver for 9700 serious. I will try that one out. Also BF1942 shuts down to desktop as well so this has to be a driver issue. Finding the driver error will be difficult. but i am guessing its either graphics or sound card.
And i did have the patched fleet operations running and it did this as well

ok, i assume it's your graphic card driver then, hope you will get this fixed. i have not much knowledge about ati graphic cards.
