hi,

is there a way to change or mute the menu buttons? i'm not talking about the in-game buttons for which there is a slider in the sound settings. i mean those really annoying main menu buttons, they're hurting my brain..

Yeah, a way to adjust these beep sounds would be very nice, they have been hurting my ears for the past decade.

this was answered in a recent thread lol.

U can safely alter the volume of the wav file that contains that sound. Or u can delete the file as i did no longer valid for 3.1.4. It wont break online play either.

it was fun while it lasted.. seems that the fmod engine (3.14 sound) doesn't like it when files are missing. but you can still replace the two .wavs with something quieter.

edit: i just saw that myles brought this up already in the 3.14 bugs thread..

You should be able to replace the .wavs with empty files :)

Can you upload yours please since no matter what I do with Audacity the button volumes are still the same. >_>

using audacity you want to use the amplify tool (Effect -> amplify), lowering the volume as far as you want. then file -> export and choose WAV (microsoft) signed 16 bit pcm. then use that file as the new event, just give it the correct file name  and replace the old one with it.

i havnt actually edited my file yet cos of work load laziness.
