the bug i found is about the collective feature "Boarding".
i played aainst dom, but whenever i tried to use it it wasn't possibly. only if i target my OWN ship, i could board it, which decreases the crew there. has anyone else noticed this?

Hehe, no bug there: it only works if any number of crew (even 1) is missing from the enemy ship :)

aaahh, that explains why i could board a ship short before destruction^^
but why was it implemented this way?

Pretty sure to prevent it from being overpowered, as most of the Boarding things allow you to instant take over. I mean, an Assimilator transports 40 crew or something right? ...or maybe I'm not remembering correctly. In either case, it's much more efficient than the autoassimilator :)

That limit was there all the way back in stock. Back when it was a Klingon weapon.

Ah, so it could be a bug? Since I remember two threads on this previously... I'm surprised that the Devs never said that it was something that was desired to be fixed... so maybe it's a desirable bug

I would be quite happy if this was changed, but if it became overpowered, reduce the number of drones transorting over. Because right now it's luck, or whatever ships you start using auto-assimilate or holding beam on for a second.

Yes, that's how I use it. Basicaly lets me instant capture Sabers, Rhienns, Bugs etc: all destroyers are instant capture, many cruisers take two runs of the special  :D . If the amount of drones was reduced, it would be much less useful because Auto-Assim and Holding Beam would be more efficient (although for ships that don't have access to these weapons, that would be still ok... maybe). I still like it the way it is, since it promotes micro-management :)
