Not sure if this has been bought up before, I did do a little search. But has anyone encountered assimilation issues with these? I was just curious with regards to their assimilation rate cos whilst playing against merciless AI on duel 2, the following things happened:
-decloaked 3 griffin near one (around short range I'd say), they all had a full crew compliment, and all instantly became borg, in part I guess to that green swirly thing and shields down for a second, but I'm not sure...
-again, 3 griffin attacking the incubation center at point blank, full crew, full shields, then a few seconds later two of them instantly became borg. Didn't seem to happen when the 3 griffins were moving, but were instantly snatched when attacking & stationary.
Anyways, just curious if I'm missing something about the functionality of these things? I know that it says that they slowly assimilate nearby enemy ships, but instantly taking ships with a 200 crew compliment is pretty wow...
