Hi.

Yesterday I moved in a new house, decided I'd like to play some FleetOps (carrying crates all day long is rather exhausting) but it didn't work. Since I've changed nothing on my pc itself since i played last time at my old flat except the recent tunngle and FO patches, I concluded it must have something to do with the router they have here... After a struggle to find it's reset button, log on to it and get internet back to work in general I've set my computer as DMZ (which should solve most connection problems).
I prayed, rebooted everything, started tunngle and FO just to find out it didn't change anything. Still the same thing, folks can't see my games, I can't join theirs. (I can say him to join but he just keeps me waiting until I cancel.)

Is there any reason why it shouldn't work?
Do I just have to play versus cheap AI opponents for the rest of my life while listening to the glory of others on TS?
Or do you have any idea what might get me back to play?

Just ask if you need to know system specs or stuff. Yes, windows firewall and antivirus-stuff was deactivated, not that it didn't work before with both active.

I'll just wait here since I can't play... :-(

I think Timmy had a similar problem?  He couldn't get on.  Best I can suggest is download the FO and tunngle patches again.  Find timmy on teamspeak and ask him if/how he has fixed his problem.  I know I have had problems in the past where I had to reload several times.  Right now, I have an error message saying there is a Windows Firewall Network Location Mismatch detected, but I click OK and everything is just fine.

Sounds reasonable. Will try and report back as soon as DL is finished here. (Now I could eat myself for deleting the installer)

Oh, I know you did DMZ on your router, but just for kicks, did you add the tunngle port?  I'm not sure why I'm giving technical advice (I'm just happy to be able to turn on my PC ), but usually it's something really stupid where I said, "Nah, it could never be that" and it turns out it was... :sweatdrop:

hm.

maybe it was the new tunngle patch, I've heard yesterday a rumour it causes issues for some people. we could check the tunngle forums if there are others with similar problems.

I'm back in business!

It was that new Tunngle patch. It seems it only doesn't work for Win XP users (like me).

I have rehosted the old 4.3.2.0 installer for those who have the same problem here: (I'm assuming most popular download pages will update their downloads soon to 4.3.2.1)

Maybe this isn't related, but I thought this was a good place to start asking questions cause my problem isn't too dissimilar.

Alright... I've been gone for the last few weeks and came back to 3 FlOps updates, 1 TeamSpeak update and a Tungle update. The last two were downloaded and installed, as was FlOps Patch 3.2.3.

When I went to download Patch 3.2.4, I was whisked away to 3.2.5. On the forum page for Patch 3.2.5, it says I can install 3.2.5 without 3.2.4, which is exactly what I did.

When I went to play online, all games I tried to join prompted an error saying I didn't have the propper version of FlOps. Any games *I* tried to create were invisible to other players. I thought it might be an issue with Tungle, so I uninstalled it and went back to 4.2.2.0, which didn't cause any problems in the past.

Still, even though it says I have 3.2.5 on the FlOps title screen, I can't seem to join any games and others can't even see mine.

Any ideas on what the problem might be?

Other people not being able to see your game sounds like a connection issue. And with not being able to see other peoples games, are they yellow and saying it's a different game version? In which case I think a complete flops reinstall would be necessary.

Try to check that your firewall settings allow Tunngle and Fleet Ops, and like Unleash stated, a reinstall would be good measure if you truly are seeing everybody else's game as yellow :)

I reinstalled FO... and still every game I want to join is yellow.

Even with my anti-virus off, I can't join.
