hi,
i don't know if it was reported.

it seems that when u collide a bug with a miner when he is inside a mining station (unloading res) the mining station can't be used anymore by other miners.

could someone confirm that it's not just my comp. thx.

      Talk about crippling your enemy! Considering that the thing would crash, do a minor amount of damage, all while your enemy is watching, with them thinking... "Meh, they didn't destroy my miners or anything else, so it doesn't matter..." And then, they're main mining gets taken out, and they think "Well, I still have that other mining..." So then, you exhaust your resources, only just before you realize that you weren't getting any resources, and then your enemy comes and blows you up!!!

Yes, that is hilarious.
It also sounds like a pretty nasty bug.

I just tried that in a small map against normal AI (Romulan).
I used bug's ramming ability to destroy romulan mining ships while they were unloading their cargo of dilithium/tritanium and other mining ships didn't seem to be affected by this at all. They just unloaded their cargo as usual.

But who knows? Perhaps an AI can handle it and a human player can't...
Or it is a bug specific for only one side...

Which side was the unfortunate owner of the mining station? Klingon? Federation?

Ok, just tried Dominion and Romulan, both with my mining getting hit, and me hitting the AI's mining... seems that there is no effect... other than my poor freighter getting blown up.

Hopefully it isn't a one time deal: maybe if more people test?  :sweatdrop:

i rechecked it at it seems ok, no bug. i could swear my miners ignore mining station and went straight to the other one. i guess it was something else or i'm hallucinating.

Might have been a very rare glitch...

Not as rare as you think.  It has happened to me as well. :ermm:  I wouldn't know if it is re-creatable, but I have seen it happen before.  It is definitely a glitch.
