Crash when clicking on menu after starbase explosion?

OK, this crash kinda confused me. It happened as soon as I clicked on the menu button after 6 AI's killed my starbase and all but a few mining ships and stations.

On the bright side, I got to see what dozens of ships looked like against my fed fleet.
