The maps can go as high as 50.000x50.000. I couldn't get them to work any higher and god knows i tried...

lol i had an extra '0' in my map size  :sweatdrop:

i do love bigger maps, makes tactics more of an issue.

Oh, how?
If a map was above 50k, it either crashed or it wouldn't even save...

And yeah, i also like big maps (well some of the time;)), it sure would add more strategy to the game, if a map was let's say 300000x300000, just imagine... By the time your fleet gets to the enemy, it would be most likely obsolete, besides, you'd really have to take care of it...

I think the extra 0 was the mistake :pinch:

But yeah, bigger=better for me so sounds great - I just like being able to hide my main base for longer :)

lol, the map im making is 40,000. 5 players. there are not many moon pairs but alot of single moons near unique anomolies. I have 4 hidden wormholes (in nebulas and asteroid fields (dw you can get to them).  There are things like a destroyed planet and stuff, nlts of things on this map. hidden resources being a good bit of them.

The reason there are not many moon pairs is to pull tactics out more. The maps big enough were you will have to put a good lot of ships defending your resources. sending your fleet out is leaving yourself open to some serious ass rape.

It was design 50/50 50% gameplay 50% Trek Feel  :D ill upload it soon, so you guys can have a play on it.
