So a number of the most commonly played multiplayer maps are no longer playable due to the Small Blocking Trigger problem.

I heard whispers that it was an easy fix for people to do on their own to fix.  I'm sitting on Teamspeak with 7 other veteran players who'd like to go back to using several kep maps no longer playable and 2 new maps as of yet unusable.

Can anyone, dev or noob grant me the knowledge needed to adjust the files?

The Fix is hosted on TeamSpeak and here.

Place that in your Fleet Operations odf folder. Note: Unless the host and the players have the same version of the file, they can't play.

File is hosted in Teamspeak server. Right click Fleetops Channel, open file browser, download the small blocking fix. Go to your Armada folder (on mine it's C:Program Filesx86ActivisionStar Trek Armada 2Fleet OperationsDataodfsystem. Just extract the downloaded file there and use it to replace the existing trigger_blocking_sml.odf  . Your patch is done.

For those without TS, it will take less time to fix this than it will for me to type this out. Go to the previously mentioned folder. Right click on the trigger_blocking_sml.odf and go to the properties. Uncheck the "Read-only" option. Open the file in a text editor and change the line "systrg = 1" to "hidden = 1". Save and exit the editor, set the "Read-only" mode back on in the properties, and start fleetops.

Please note Fo shouldn't be open while you're doing this. Obvious yes, but even easier to forget while you're bouncing in your chair gushing "Ooh mah God! Star Traffic (v1.2)! YES!"

Or something. Enjoy.

It seems like everyone who wants to play online is doing this, but to be safe, its always best to have 2 installs!

I hosted a copy of the same file on the guide for those who don't have TS.

some people arent comfortable editing odfs. if the odf is made for them they can just copy it over.
