Hey All,
AFTER YEARS of not playing Armada, I suddenly got the bug to play again.
Quickly discovered that Armada 2 does not like windows 7 64 bit. Did a search, found this place, plus that cool fleetops mod (3.14 then 3.15) and not only does the game now play in win 7, but is spiced up with a ton of cool changes.
Just one issue though (isnt there always one?) - there is no in game music. Is that a known issue with the mod ?
Sorry if this has been covered before - new to the forum and still getting used to the layout.
Definitely appreciate any help offered !

welcome to the forums paul
in game music is provided as a separate download to keep the installer small and because some people (myself included) dont care much for music and would just turn it off anyway.
here is the download page for the multimedia pack, which will give you in game music:
Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations - Multimedia Pack 2
the music should appear on the main menu, but doesnt because of a bug, which will be fixed in patch 3.1.6
also its possible that if you install the armada 2 patch project, it will allow armada 2 to work on win7
here is the link to the patch project download page:
Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations - Star Trek Armada II: Patch Project
hope you enjoy your time here, and hope to see you online

Nice guys....!
Everything suggested was installed, and the game plays and sound sweet ! I too might tire of the music, but for now I love it.
Thanks a million, definitely plan on remaining online and in the community - many thanks !
