ok so what are the chances of being able to make FO a muiltithreaded app, so that ppl with multicore CPU's (like me, i are be having a 4 core lol) can run it more smoothly etc?

I also wonder about that, as Fleet Ops is all about improving Armada 2 for the future, most PC have multiple cores now and would allow you to expand the game even farther.

an game engine has to be designed from ground up to support multi cores and even then it is not easy to profit from multiple cores. armada is obviously not.
some basic stuff like the sound engine is already multi-threaded. we may extend the use of multi-threading in the future where applicable.

So does that mean that FO uses something besides armada 2 for its sound?
