Freezing Issue

Whenever i enter an IA game now (Havent tested MP) within a couple seconds of starting the game will freeze for a split second then resume responding as normal. Any idea why?

Perhaps its loading models...I noticed something in the races odf where they preload models now to a degree....perhaps thats the issue? Also on a side note Ive noticed that for the first minute of a IA game ill have low fps...but then after a minute or so the fps will pick up.
