Game crashes when a borg sphere explodes

Keep getting an error whenever the borg are involved in the game. When a borg sphere explodes the game crashes and I get an access violation error. I cant seem to clear this. Have changed many settings to try and get around it but it doesnt work. Also experienced the same access violation during 1 game playing as dominion but it happened that one time and didnt happen again.

It doesnt matter whether I am playing as the borg or whether they are an enemy in the game. Once that sphere goes so does the game

Anyone encountered this and been able to fix it?

Are you using a mod? In any case, I'd try a reinstall. Fleet Ops 3.2.7 shouldn't crash when a Sphere explodes: I've seen many Spheres explode without the game crashing.
