How to play?

Is there any way to get Star Trek Armada II to work on vista?
I tried it and it wont let me play casuse it thinks there is no CD  but there is...            anything i can do?

well its not a vista problem because it works on mine. post a little more info on your system.

I don't have that problem either.  Try formatting your hard drive and reinstalling windows.  That usually solves weird problems like that!

I have both Armada II and Fleet Ops on my laptop running vista with no problems.  perhaps uninstalling and reinstalling them will help

Reinstaling fixed it but now i have another problem...    anyone know of any good A2 mods other that fleetops?

We all know that any other mod than FO {for A2} will not have the time/effort/details but i was wondering if there was a second best.. cause we also know that FO is the best.

Check out armada2.filefront.com. Its a very good place for other mods and other custom designed ships for the stock armada2 game. You can find some good stuff there, but this version of fleetops is the best there is.

One more little problem.. i cant get beta2 to work on my computer... any suggustions?

Check out armada2.filefront.com. Its a very good place for other mods and other custom designed ships for the stock armada2 game. You can find some good stuff there, but this version of fleetops is the best there is.

Won't work. Since Filefront is dead, it'll be down soon.

I would like  to know how you guys got it to work on vista.  I installed it and tried playing it several times but it always crashes.  The only version that doesn't was either 3.0 or 3.0.1.  But we gave up because he's not a big Star Trek fan anyway.....

hey yeah i've got the same problem the normal A2 works fine its just FO that doesnt seem to work
any advice? cheers

You could always try disabling UAC... but I don't have a clue why it doesn't work for you guys. You aren't by any chance installing FO in the same folder as AII?
