Ok, so a few times now i've had FO crash telling me to increase my virtual memory.

system specs
Intel Q9650
4GB RAM
2x8800GTX
300gb raptor
Windows 7 Ultimate X64

as you can see i should have enough RAM to play FO. My pagefile is set to system managed...in this case i think its on 4GB.

the game i was just playing was 3v3 (other 5 players were hard AIs) on the nirvanaII map (the one that looks like a naughts and crosses game :p). Was just getting interesting and it crashed with that error.

couldn't even do a bug report.

any ideas???

the install was done off the armada II cd.

Isn't it the good old "increase swapfile size" problem? It almost always means an error in the ODF files. Did you edit the game?

that means there is an odf error.

More specifically a missing " mark somewhere. I assume you've modded your game in some way?

hey. sorry its taken to long to reply, i didn't get e-mail notification of the posts (am sure im subscribed to the topic...but will check)

nope, haven't modded the game.

Installed from main exe file, copied contents from CD, upgraded to 3.1.1 and installed music pack...

i am an old modder of armada and armada 2 (released the first dominion mod for A2...bugy as hell though :( ) and i never remember seeing this error when there was an error in the ODF...

i can try reinstalling if you like?

ok, i just did a complete reinstall.
3.1 from my Armada2 CD, update to 3.1.1 and install music pack.

Had another 3v3 on the same map, 1 fed, 1 klingon, 1 romulan on each team.

Definately lasted longer this time, but still crashed :(
