Instalation Problems

I run in the following error when i try to install FO on my Win 8.1 System

Try installing it outside of Program Files, like to C:\Games\Fleet Ops.

Fleet Ops has known issues with windows 8+. Some have had luck installing it to C:\Games under compatibility mode, others haven't. You might have better luck with the STA2 Upgrade Project, which runs the Armada II ops on the Fleet Ops package as a mod pack. //www.fleetops.net/forums/modifica ... n-fo-12498

The UP doesn't really help if FO won't even install.

If you have access to a different machine running Windows 7 or earlier, then install it on there, then copy the installation folder to a location on the new machine. Fleet Ops doesn't rely on installing any libraries outside of its directory, and it doesn't need any registry entries.
