Model rescaling issue

I know that this problem was already addressed on this forum, I just can't find it.
There is a bug when you use the ScaleSOD string, that in standard view some models don't appear with the proper scale, but in the free 3D view it works.
I remember that I have to edit one of the CFG files, but I can't remember which one and how...

Please help me out  :sweatdrop:

Hmm... I haven't encountered this problem for about a year now, but the devs basically said they hadn't messed with the line because FO models don't use it.  As far as I could remember though, only specific models did it.  Which model are you having problems with? :blush:

If you have to edit a cfg file its probably the rts.cfg.  I suggest checking out this page of the guide.  You might find what you are looking for without having to go through the file itself to find a line to adjust.

I know the line that you're talking about, it should be in the rts_cfg. Thats the only place it can be.

The only thing I see relevant there is : // What's the maximum strategic view scale factor?
float cfgMAX_STRATEGIC_VIEW_OBJECT_SCALE = 1.75;  // Grow by at most 75%

But I believe that's in relation to cinematic view...

Yeah thats not the one, i've seen it before. It tells the game to scale the ships in 3d view like it does in normal top-down mode. k_merse I know this was answered over at FF in the last year or two.

I never understood this command by the way. Why would you like to have differently sized models in the cinematic and in the tactical view?

Not sure; perhaps for aesthetics if you want to take a picture in tactical  and would like to move the ships around... but that doesn't really make sense  :sweatdrop:
