Megadroid wrote:Think this is to do with the tooltips. When you mouseover an enemy unit, it will lock your cursor into attack until it has shown the tooltip. Then if you have moved off it, it will revert to normal. I've lost many ships because of this - I mouseover a cube or something to see its stats, then try to move my ships away and end up ordering them to attack.
The only way to stop it that I've found is to mouseover one of your own ships. This cancels the tooltip for the enemy ship, but its hardly convenient.
Megadroid pointed it out first, and I can verify that this is definitely the case.
For some reason, if you mouse-over an enemy ship the cursor is locked onto "attack" until the tooltip has been shown. It's a strange effect, because it slows you down but as your concentrating on playing you tend to not notice it!

yes, armada 2 stock here again, that's some kind of delay so they could nicely fade in their ships health bars (that you can barely see anyway) when hovering...i'll put a todo up for that

another mousing-over problem. It seems that (only in multiplayer games) When players scroll over each others main bases, the game laggs to an un playable point for all players. Does this have to do with our computers or the game it self?

no i have the same problem, not really by putting my mouse over the Starbase, but...
Everytime i send out a scout and i look on the enemy's base first time (not via minimap) the game begins lagging like hell for 10-30 Seconds.

Yah, It gets real bad when there is a battle in an Ally's base and everyone is over that part of the map. It gets stuck for up to 30 seconds.

I was going to make a post about this at some point, but didn't get round to it. Guess I don't have to now! Thanks exodus!

yea, armada 2 seems to load the models when you first see them, so if you take a look into another base that could take a while until each race is loaded. i have no idea if something can be done about his

Why cant all models be loaded all at once? That way there is no lag. All models and odf that would be used are pre-loaded reducing the lag from slim to none.

because armada does it that way. if i am able to change that behavior in the future, i'll definitively do that.
