Thank you for fixing my issue with fleet ops. It works now but that seems to have lead to another issue.

Playing the game the intro video works with voices. Once I start a mission though none of the ships talk when I click on them or when i'm starting the fed campaign with the "space the final frontier". I hear the ships go into and come out of warp and weapons fire though.

Once I exit out to the main screen I get no sound there either. I have to exit the game completely and start it back up to get any sound.

I know with the original game if you had a powerful enoough pc you had to turn the sound quality down because the voices would skip and not sound right.

Hi there Eufnoc, thanks for your help.

It's consistent but at certain times. Intro video starts with picard saying they're on the brink of war again.

I started the tutorial and hear the music and background sounds like I said but clicking on any of the ships I don't hear a thing.

When I exit back out to the main menu there's no music.

Ok I did a complete reinstall of the game. Only thing I installed was the official patch.

I played a skirmish and heard the music, weapons fire and warp but no sounds when I clicked on any ships or systems. Obviously it's a game problem in itself.

I had a similar problem with XP which others had where I had to turn the sound quality down otherwise clicking any ships made their voices skip.

All the options aside from graphics are default so I don't know what's causing this....weird.

the picard video is for stock armada II not fleetops, no idea why you are getting that at all, i suggest you use my install.zip folder on the vista issue and try using that.

I know, what i'm saying is i'm not getting any sound on a clean install of the game.

Wanted to see what happens before I install anything but the official patch so I know whether it's my game or the mod.

Have to contact mad doc and see what to do to fix this.
