Anyone else out there using a NOCD patch with win7 or vista?  I have YET to play 3.0.6 because it keeps asking me for my CD.  I'm about this far from breaking down and buying another copy of stock A2....but I won't on principle alone.  I bought my disk and lost it and I love my NOCD's....you image mounters out there make me sick!!! jp.  At any rate, I was wondering if anyone else has come across this.  I've reinstalled and patched probably a dozen times.  I've tried a ton of things to no avail.  I really want to play the new Borg on my new, insanely over the top, computer.

The way i see it, you have 2 options:
1: find an image somewhere....
2. buy a copy for 150 bucks on ebay and hope your credit card has room ;)

I love images because if they go then you got bigger problems than an image not working (think hard drive failure). Also, DAEMON Tools works on windows 7 now, even though it thinks there are compatibility problems.

also if your very clever there is something you can type that does what you need it to do...

if you do enough research you can easily find out what it is...

I've tried all relevant patches and versions and different types of installs.  My brother's PC, running Vista, had no troubles w/ the install or anything.  Mine....no such luck.  I have faith I'll figure it out.  I just wanted to play it sooner rather than later.  Though thank you, everyone, for your help.

I don't know which is better, but I use Virtual CD and it works fine for the most part.

Both deamon tool and A120% work in windows 7 now. As long as you download the latest version.

Here's the primary problem with Daemon tools, though - if I'm not gravely mistaken, there have been many, many 95% confirmed rumors of spyware in it, as I believe it forces you to install a toolbar into IE.

I recommend that you use MagicDisc; it's free, it works for most image types, and it's small and safe, even if it does look like it was made in someone's basement.  It's what I've had to use, or rather I've had to use images in general, since my notebook's internal CD/DVD drive bit the dust because the ATA cable failed.
