Norton Internet Security Is killing Fleet Operations repeatedly
I guess this might be interesting for the community as well as the developers.
While playing Armada 2 to test some stuff, Armada 2 went to the background and my antivirus program was grabbing my attention.
It claimed that Armada 2.exe was infected with Heur.AdvML.B and therefore deleted it.
On closer inspection I could trace the problem back to Fleet Operations
Norton had deleted Armada2.exe inside the Fleet operations Data folder.
After reading up on it (see links below) I white listed it and tried to run FLOPs.
Guess what? This time it killed fleetops.exe and claimed it contained Trojan.Gen.SMH
Same procedure as before.
It seems to me that the Norton software is creating some false positives. It had a massive update.
I am assuming that the developers have used some routines which are mistaken by the antivirus software.
Perhaps one of the team could comment on it.
Or perhaps talking to Norton?

Because of the way that the devs extended the Armada 2 engine, various AV products have given a false positive on some of the Fleet Ops executables in the past.
I would say use the "submit a sample" feature that Norton should have, with a note that it's a false positive, explain what it is, and include a link to the site. It hopefully will be cleared up in a day or so.

I have the same problem, even if I allow/restore the files, an anti virus scan we delete it. I then have to reinstall the whole game.
