Odd graphics glitch in 3.1.0

I haven't seen this reported yet, and I don't know if it's a settings issue, but here's an odd phenomenon: I was playing as Klingons versus Federation in the Old Space map, and had just researched Large Scale Cloaks. I then assembled a fleet of sixteen Negh'var ships and cloaked them simultaneously - and part of the background disappeared. Also, when the ships decloaked to open fire, none of the beams or torpedoes were visible for a few moments - then everything went back to normal.

It certainly sounds like something in the settings, but I wouldn't even know where to begin... any suggestions?

this is a known problem of the armada 2 engine. we hope that can be fixed in a future release

It got a lot worse since the last patch though :(

agreed Dom, i had a skirmish to see how the new patch balancedout, i had around 30 akiras on screen and only 1 in 10 phasers showed and only the first volley of torpedos.

I also noticed the glitch much more frequently since installing 3.1.0. As I reported earlier I have also noticed that the game seems to lag quite a bit more than before, almost to the point where it is unplayable around mid-game. I bumped the Graphics detail back one notch from full and it seemed to improve the lagging and the glitches tremendously. I never had issues running it full bore before, so something has changed.  :ermm: Love all the new stuff though and I am sure with enough feedback and patience on our part the Devs will get it figured out :thumbsup:

correct, the game becomes very hardware intense after the patch.

I just put 2 more gig of ram in and realised my second SLI card was deactivated, after rectivating it i get no lagg and the graphic problem seems to have vanished all together.
