ohalanx bug:hyperchare magnan array

i discovered a little bug with the magnan array:
without hypercharging, the array can shoot until the timer is at 10 seconds. in hypercharged mode till it reached 50 seconds. if you use the hypercharged array until it is "overheated", and then trn it back to nomal, the time gets divided by 5, so the time is ate 9-10 seconds again. now you let it run down, and when it reaches 1-2 seconds, you hypercharge it again. the time will again be multiplied by five, to 5-10 seconds, and the array continues to shoot. this way you can save around 30 secs of time, but i think this is bug using.
so i ask you: is this a bug, or a feature?^^

I bet it is a bug, but to be honest, it is one of the only things that makes the Phalanx usable in combat ![LOL :lol:](/forum/images/smilies/laugh.gif)
Probably the "reset" button will get a delay to "fix it"--just my guess.

yes, that would be a possibility, maybe only make it usable if the tmer is already in the green part?
also something else that is a bit odd: the defensive value of the phalanx DOUBLES from double-gold to veteran, without any passive abilities. i think thats a bit too much...^^

Its not so much a Timer as it is the Special Energy display showing the time in seconds to reach max again. In hypercharge mode, the array only uses a portion of the max energy and thus can fire several times before it runs out. In normal mode however, the array uses all the max energy or near about and thus has to wait for the recharge to reach full again.
It might be more practical to put a volley type system on array and allow it to fire several shots in a short time before it needs a long wait time (similar to how the Quantum Torpedoes are fired by Soverigns).
