If I can get Fleet ops running on Ubuntu 10.10 within 5minutes using nothing but Wine + Winetricks, I'm sure you can do it on Mac Osx

Just Install wine, get WineTricks, Install Vrc60 using winetricks as well as d3dx9.

Go get the No Cd crack by Doca @ Gamecopyworld replace the Armada2.exe in the data folder and launch

I think Doca said his No CD patch on gamecopyworld breaks it so you are better of mounting?

Right now FO works partially in Wine as far as I understand it - I think there are still some audio issues, but there are plenty of threads regarding this if you want to do a search :)

Works perfectly fine 0 issues, As long as you get VRc60 and install D3DX9 then it will work, I have 0 sound issues or graphic issues.

Ok defiantly some interest so I will start working on getting a package together then. The only reason I don't think that it could go in the app store is the need to no-cd the install and apple requires apps to work out of the box which this would not. If anyone is interested in lending a hand in getting it working/testing please let me know

Way I do it is use the terminal, I think the command should be the same on the mac

Is your winetricks just an SH file as well if so.

Open terminal navigate to dir with Winetricks

sh winetricks vrc60

that will install the visual runtime

Surely its vcr60, not vrc60?

You'd think so, but it's the Visual Runtime component or what not.

I did it weeks ago, but try the sh winetricks vrc60 and let me know what happens.

Remember the D3Dx9 so

sh winetricks d3dx9

Ok Im having problems getting the Fleet ops installer to load. I can see in the wine log that it is because there is a problem opening the window for the installer. Any ideas anyone?

Update: it appears that the problem is that $DISPLAY in X server is not set on my machine for some reason I am still working on getting it set up.

Ok so the problem seems to be that on OS X xserver does not get setup until you open X11 (apples X.org window system) for the first time. Am going to reattempt a fleet ops install  now
