Hate to be the guy that complains, but we're still getting the out-of-sync message and it's ACTUALLY going out-of-sync. I doubt the rushers are running into the problem because they play 5 minute games, but this tends to happen in long games. Thought I'd report the issue

If you can provide more information: factions played, length of time, what you were doing at the time of OOS, that would be helpful . There is still a source of out of sync, but I am not yet sure whether it is due just to an improperly created game file, or something more serious.
It is difficult to know what causes rare out of syncs without lots of information. If you wish, you can generate some out of sync logs to aid us in this task.
To do so, when starting a game, the host must go to the Advanced menu, type "dbg", click "synchost" then hit "ok" in the Advanced menu. When an out of sync occurs, the log will appear in your application data in the Logs folder. %appdata%\star trek armada ii fleet operations\logs
Each human player must provide the logs to a single game - if you do so, please enclose a text file with the races, map, last action prior to OOS, and length of the game.

I was in that game with Battlehawk, I will try to answer question as well.
Me - Fed
Battlehawk - Dominion
Other Human Player - Borg
3x Merciless As 2xDominion 1xBorg
The OOS happens most often when Merciless/Hard are used, rarely when Normal difficulty is used.
Game time was about 45 minutes before OOS. Our games can go to 2+ hours without it sometimes though.
At the time we were all just building ships and I was building a lot of turrets. Our Teammate (Borg) was building a lot of incubation facilities (probably about 60/70).
The problem is we have to do this before the game starts.
From now on we will run logging before launching to get those logs for you.

We'll we don't have any logs to send right now because we were under the impression that the out of sync issue was fixed. We'll have the log running next we play again. For now I can fill you in with basic information. My friend Defiant was also present in the game so you'll have his perspective
3 human players:
1 Borg (Optimization)
1 Federation (Mayson)
1 Dominion (Mixed)
3 AIs, all merciless:
1 Borg (Assimilate)
2 Dominions (Purebreed and Mixed)
All the human players very strong internet connections. We used tuungle.
Out of sync occurred about 45 mins into the game.
The player who was the Federation (Defiant001), went out of sync with the rest of the players in the game. Defiant is running on a 30 mg internet.
We have noticed in previous games that out of sync usually occurs when the AI warps in ships using starfleet command. However Defiant, did not warp in any ships
If the issue happens again, we'll have the logs next time.
