Hello dear Fleet Ops community,

I wish all of you a Happy New Year!

I haven't been around for quite some time (my Master thesis kept my busy...), but now I wanted to play Fleet Ops again. Unfortunately I have a performance problem with my graphic card and I hope some of you guys can help me out of that little mess... (Because Fleet Ops is awesome and will become much more awesome once the new version is out. I can't wait any longer...)
Sorry for my bad English, I hope you understand what I want to say...

I bought my Notebook in July 2012 and it has the following stats:
- Intel Core I7 2670 QM (2,2 GHz)
- 2x 4 GB Ram
- AMD Radeon HD 7970M (2 GB Ram)

My problem is that Fleet Ops has an awefull performance.

I think I know what the reasons for this problem is, but I am not totally sure on that.

My Notebook has 2 graphic cards. On the one hand my AMD, on the other hand something called "Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000". I think the last one is an onboard graphic card or something ike that...
The problem is that Feet Ops does not use my AMD as primary graphic card. More probematicly is that I can't choose which graphic card should be the main one. There is ony one choice: "Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000". And the result of that choice is the very poor performance; even with reduced settings...

I tried to use the Catalyst Control Center to increase my performance, but it didn't work.

I also tried to set the priority settings of the task manager to high. No significant effect...

Unfortunately I am out of options and don't know what to do next.

I hope some of you knows, how I can solve that perfomance issue, because I love Fleet Ops and I would like to play it again without a very low framerate.

Thank you very much!!!

Kind regards
Alpha Line

Just a gander, but can you right click Fleet Ops and choose anything that resembles "run with X graphics card"?

Thx, for your fast reply, Dominus!

Sorry, but I am not exactly sure, what you mean...

If you mean "right click on the FO icon" in the Fleet Ops installation folder, then: No, there is no "run with X graphics card"...

You could try to disable the onboard graphics card altogether, similar to how you sometimes have to disable onboard sound cards when you are using a higher end sound card.
