I was looking through the "romW_shrike1" odf, and its range value is 800, but the tooltip says it has a medium range.  I checked it in game as well, the shrike stops at the same place as the rhienn.  I guess we're getting more bang for our buck with shrikes. :D  Dirty overpowered Romulans!!! >:(  :P :x :schmoll: :schmoll:

Putting false data on the ship? I say keep it that way, it's exactly what the Romulans would do...

Makes you wonder how many other ships are more dangerous than they claim... if one can lie, so can others.

Yeah, that's why I was wondering whether some of the Warp-Ins might have been intended to be cruisers when they are in fact battleships (the Ambassador and Nebula for instance).

yeah,  talk about "false flaggin"

ever hold the mouse over the weapons icon and the range ring pops up, but the ships fires at and hits its target EVEN THOUGH it is not in range?

I think the sensors do that, too...

I believe those bugs should be due simply to the "trial" effect  :sweatdrop: . I don't think those circles were anything other than a preliminary test to see how they work in game before a permanent fix could be made :). Not sure if anything better has been added in yet though

I think the rings are set up as the distance from the center of the model, and because weapons don't fire from the center but rather the edge some larger ships and especially the starbase can fire beyond the ring. Then of course there is the Shrike where the ring is just too short. I have an idea, could the rings be set up to show weapon arc in addition to range?
