Shrike's Special Weapon

Call me uneducated - but which ships can you use this against?  Cos it says that the Unstable Plasma Torpedo can only target 'support ships', but it doesn't seem to fire at the Dominion C-11 or Borg Dodecahedron which say that they are support ships in their description... unless my Shrikes are broken somehow or those ships aren't support?

Are you sure it cannot target these vessels? It works in my version

What the Unstable Torpedo does have is a firearc, which may make it more difficult to fire this weapon

Prototype C-11's and undeployed Relay Dodes aren't classed as valid targets by the weapon. Are those the ones it wouldn't fire against?
