Sound only works on Stereo (3.2.1)

Hi,

i have 3.2.1 installed (fresh clean install) on Win74 64bit Home Premium. My Soundcard (Terratec Aureon 7.1 PCI) support up to 7.1 Dolby Digital Live. When i switch in FO the sound over Stereo or use "Default", i have absolute no Sound: no Musik, no Button Sound in the Menu, no Sound in the Game self... as when i mute my sound system.

Sound working:
Mono
Stereo
Pro Logic

Sound NOT working:
Default
Quad
Surround
5.1
7.1

With or without Hardware Acceleration makes no different. Different Sound Channels too.

hm, i still got the terratec aureon 7.1 universe lying around here. i could try to get the card running in my test machine later today. i only have a 5.1 receiver here to test though. but i guess that should be sufficient
do you use the digital out or over analogue?

I self have only 5.1 over digital out (optical). Its the first game where i have Sound Problems with this Hardware Configuration.

ok, the 7.1 universe is a totally different card for which only a few year old beta vista drivers are available with which can't get much more than stereo out from any app...

please contact me via IM. then we'll try to find a solution then
