STA2 Classic sub-mod won't launch (Edit: OP is being dumb)

Hi there

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be in the modification forum.
I can launch FleetOps and enter an instant action battle - seems to work fine.

I downloaded the STA2 Classic mod and installed it
(i.e. I created a sub-folder called "mods" and unzipped it into there)

But on launch I get the splash screen - then nothing. It just stops

I've tried running this in compatibility mode - but nothing working so far

FYI - I'm using Windows 11

It works for me just fine.
Did you create a separate launcher shortcut for it, or you tried to launch it from the game?

Not really sure what you mean by "launcher shortcut" ?

I added a desktop shortcut pointing at the Armada2.exe sitting in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Star Trek Armada II Fleet Operations\mods\STA2 Classic\Armada2.exe

Was I supposed to do something different?

Ok - so I've realised I put the mod in the wrong place and it's supposed to be in the data folder

i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Star Trek Armada II Fleet Operations\DATA\mods\STA2 Classic\

and then launch it from the Fleet Ops menu under Options > Mod Settings
