I keep getting ctd when using standalone

looks like you are missing the font texture to me.   but that is just a guess.

the font spr files and tga files yh (but needed a mix of the A2 sprs and FO sprs otheriwse it messes up

yes, font selection had to be changed in part for widescreen support, so more font files are required
