Starbases won't fire when enemy is in range...

  I dunno why but alot of times starbases and defences simply won't fire at the enemy although it's ships are in weapons and sensor range. It is verry annoyng especialy when you have lots of enemy ships fireing at your defences and they won't respond or it takes them alot of seconds to fire at some random far away target, but not the ones close to them. If it can be fixable from the odf files pls tell me how.
  As a side request ... can some one pls post a guide to all the odf functions such as :
show_movement_autonomy =  or
shield_delay = or
damagedscan =  or
avoidanceclass =  or
attack power = ?
  It would be really nice to know what this things do and many others ( weapons also have alot of stuff ) so that modifing the files ain't a guessing experiment. Tks.

there are a lot new odf commands. if you like to know which, you can get a rough overview in the v3 changelog, however we cannot provide a full documentation yet as we just don't have the time for ;)

there was a small odf error that prevented some starbases from firing correctly, that one will be fixed in the next patch. That bases do somethimes stop attacking is a vanilla Armada2 bug. We are working on it ^-^

I believe unless I'm mistaken all those commands are from the stock game, if your interested in modding the best place is probably not by looking at FO code but at Stock A2 code, the FO code is then only a step from there (Well a large stride really).

For those commands see:

And for a broader modding guide I suggest the BBOM:

That's what a learnt from
