Having issues starting up Fleet Ops...

When I launch the exe, it loads for a second and then it seems unresponsive (no error message).

I thought it might be related to this issue:
_//www.fleetops.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,3/topic,9282.0/
but I can't get 3.1.4 to work either (same problem).

System Specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00 GHz 3.00 GHz
RAM: 4.00 GB
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Video: ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series
DirectX 11

Troubleshooting:
Restarted after install.
Tried every compatibility combination under the sun.
Reinstalled FO
Updated my video drivers via Windows Update
Updated my video drivers via the ATI website
Rolled back my video drivers
Set monitor resolution to max (1280x1024).
Reinstalled OS.
No errors under event viewer.
Disabled sound devices

Thoughts/Ideas:
Is this game set to run at a larger resolution at startup? If so, is there a way I can turn it down by modifying a file? I didn't see any cfg files in the FO directory...

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you check if your antivirus is quarantining Fleet Ops? :)

something i can answer is that your resolution should be fine. i run at a similar resolution.

when you say the program is unresponsive do you mean it exits, or fleetops freezes and the program is still running?

This was it exactly...

Webroot Anti Virus with Spy Sweeper
Version 7.0.8.7

Quarantined: ...star trek armada ii fleet operationsdataarmada2.exe
Saw it as a Mal/Basine-C

Both 3.1.4 and 3.1.5 are working fine, thanks so much!  :D

When I would double click the icon, it seemed to load for a split second, and then not do anything. The process didn't start, nor was the application hung.

glad you fixed it, its silly that the AV companies arent whitelisting the file after all this time.

welcome to the forums and hope you enjoy your time here.
