I tried to install Fleet Operations 3.2.7 on my new Lenovo -- only a few days old. The processor and graphics card are a significant upgrade from my previous Asus PC, but the OS is the same, and the game worked on the Asus. It says it installs right but when I open it up it consistently crashes when I try to open the "Graphics Options" menu. Local Area Network play also doesn't work -- I can't send or receive games. And when I tried to start the game using a manual IP instead, mine crashed while the other person's didn't. It crashes in these exact places consistently, and I've uninstalled and reinstalled about 3 times now and am disappointed that the game appears to be broken on my machine. It's a really good PC, too -- 4-core hyperthreaded i7, GTX 860, 8gb ram. Lenovo Y50

Did you just re-run the installer or did you re-download it, too? Also, have you tried installing it outside of Program Files, like C:\Games?

I downloaded new installers for two of the three reinstalls, and I even deleted the existing Armada 2 installation and had the installer read from my DVD drive. However, I didn't yet install it outside Program Files x64. I should try that.

I actually installed it for the first time on a Windows 8 machine, and there were no issues. I transferred the program files folder over to the newer machine, also Windows 8, and it didn't work. I deleted it and tried installing again and it still didn't work. I really hope it's not some compatibility problem with my specific brand of computer, because it is a different company.

It may be an issue with Optimus on the Y50. As I don't have an Optimus-enabled notebook, I can't really give any advice beyond look in the driver and see if there is anything that'll let you disable it.

Hm! Never thought about that. I did notice that my Asus was defaulting to the Intel card despite having a dedicated 660M in it, and having it set as the default. FO might be trying to use what I'm telling it to (the 860M), and that might be messing it up. I'll give it a shot.

Well, I just tried running Fleet Ops on the integrated Intel 4600 chip and the same result. I'm not even sure if it is doing what I say because of the Optimus thing. I'll try to do some research...
